CAREER-

              Early Years-

Jason mraz was born on June 13 1977, and raised in Virginia. He developed the love for music when he was participating in a musical. After he graduated from his High school, he moved to New York where he then attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy.

Then after a year Jason dropped out of the academy and focused all of his time locked up in his room writing songs. After a few years locked up in his room,in 1999 he moved down to San Diego,California where he started his career.

                         Start of Career-

In 1999 San Diego, CA, he had a lot of gigs at a coffeehouse singing with Toca River and the Guitarist Java Joes. After a 3 years singing at the coffeehouse he developed the attention to record labels.

        In the early 2002 he signed a contract with Elektra Records. John Alagia and John Mayer were tapped to produce Mraz's first album.

        He returned to Virginia to write some new songs for his debut album, which was released on the November of 2002 called ''Waiting For My Rocket To Come''. After he released his new album he went on tour to support his album. During his tour he opened for Alani Morrissete's concert. In2005 he released his second album called Mr, A-Z by Atlantic records.

            Current Career-

Jason Mraz is currently promoting his new and third album, '' We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things'', by going on a world tour.

          Inspiration-

Jason Mraz spent his 18,19,20,21 years locked up in his apartment writing songs, trying desperately to find Inspiration. As he was trying desperately trying to find inspiration he moved to califorenia.

He finally found the inspiration in the west. In the west he said gives you a calm breeze to write songs. The Land, The People, The geography and in almost everything he found inspiration. The water, The beach, sunsets gave the most inspiration.

                Family and Lifestyle-

He said dancing was a big part of his life and beach was perfect for dancing he said. He has a divorced wife but they had no children. His parents live in michigan.

       Hobbies-

He also said he loved to dance and watching the sunset rise before him...
