Paramore

By Maggie L

Before Paramore was big time band and touring the war, they were playing in the garage and having trouble adjusting to the fact that a girl was the lead vocalist. They've come a long way and their success bodes well for their future together.

Past

Halely Williams, the lead vocalist of Paramore, moved from her hometown of Mississippi to Franklin, Tennessee in 2002 at age 13. There she met the Farro Brothers, Zach and Josh, who later became the drummer and guitarist of Paramore. Later on Jeremy Davis joined as the bassist. In 2004 Paramore was officially formed.

Gig after gig in Franklin, Tennessee the bands fame started to spread along that area. Soon in 2005 they landed their first HUGE gig in Florida, which was supplied by Fueled By Ramen and soon after Paramore released their debut album “All We Know Is Falling.

On going tours in 2006 with Simple Plan and other bands spread their fame even more.

In 2007 Paramore released their second studio album “Riot!”. Four hits/singles came from “Riot!”, “Crushcrushcrushcrush”, “Misery Business”, “Hallelujah”, and “That’s What You Get.

2008 to Present Day

Recently, the band has been talking about making a 3rd studio album called “Final Riot!” in Nashville, Tennessee. This album features live performances as well as the videos of the performances. Also Paramore has featured two new songs on the Twilight  Movie Soundtrack called “Decode” and “I Caught Myself.” “Decode” is another hit/single and the drummer Zach Farro says the band had a “fun time shooting the music video.”

Lately, Paramore have been hanging out in Nashville, Tennessee waiting to go on tour with No Doubt.

Future

With all these hits/singles, Paramore may be the next “big thing.” Longer tours and movies may be what's waiting ahead for this band.
